They don't have any outdoor seating so you do have to sit inside. The steak tips are also very good....The food is good, but expect to pay wellesley prices.
We always look forward to a visit to this energetic (for the suburbs) restaurant with friendly staff and consistently good comfort food. The selection is quite good here at the boutique in Chestnut Hill.

The Korean street tacos were incredibly flavorful and took me by surprise by how filling they were.
The short rib dinner was good, needed a bit of salt, but other than that it was fantastic.

The brussels sprout appetizers as well as the street tacos are delicious. The crispy sprouts were fair; definitely had better elsewhere. Something went wrong. Attentive service and speedy. Was in town for my brother's high school graduation. And it’s an open fun atmosphere but it can get very loud which turns talking into yelling.My daughter was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease.
The roasted tomatoes were quality, however nothing about my bowl was exciting minus that I was starving. It can often be loud...This is a great place to sit at the bar and have a drink and a nice meal - an experience that doesn't exist elsewhere in Wellesley. Service was mediocre so be prepared to manage the process yourself. Are they offering sit-down dining?How is this business operating during COVID-19?
We showed up one minute earlier than everyone else and ended up with the last table - the only free one was in the bar.
Good selection on the menu. Where else would you find fig and prosciutto flatbreads, Buffalo cauliflower, tuna bowls, or stuffed squash?

Once inside, the setting is very intimate with close seating and a loud environment. Good service and comfortable boothsI've probably eaten at The Local in Wellesley a dozen times, each time hoping it will be better than I remember.
GET DIRECTIONS. I particularly enjoy sitting at the bar as it is relaxed. 11 Forest Street. The service was fast and our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. Cara was a great waitress! And it seems that we were not the only ones that thought so.

I found it to be a little bland and was really straight forward - something I likely could easily make.
My lunch was being paid by someone else so I tried to pick something more affordable/reasonably healthy so I went with the "Energy Bowl." The 10 Dollar Street tacos under small bites, could be a meal for a non-big eater....Wholesome food that guarantees you won't leave hungry.
No happy hour available, sorry for anyone looking or from out of state.Came here with friends for the first time a couple weeks ago. Cool local spot to come after work for a few beers and snacks.
