The book is straightforward and fun with all the elements you remember best from RPG games: adventure, magic, medieval combat, progression, quests, dungeons and of course ... LOOT!

I wanted to like this book - this entire series, in fact - but it's just impossible, and it's completely because of the author. The writing is so bad. I do not know why the LitRpg genre has caught my attention as hard as it has..But i will say this..This series has me chomping at the bit wanting more. There was an error retrieving your Wish Lists. Fab I really enjoyed the story in this book too. Like a teenager trying to act cool with no concept of how rpg's or tabletop games work whether its level difference, fighting, trading ect. Oddly satisfying. I'm looking forward to seeing a lot more where this came from. Published I read the first of this series and enjoyed it so much I bought the second one half way through the first one.

As an rpg player, I loved getting all the info & stats on all the loot & seeing character level progression. Was very happy to read the land forging.
If you have any background in any MMOs or even tabletop RPGs you will have a great time with this series.Well...I'm not exactly sure how Aleron Kong became the Well...I'm not exactly sure how Aleron Kong became the “You have picked up an unknown plant. The characters are so well developed and I care so much about them now. Hes got the worst qualities of a 13yro spoiled rich mommas boy anime hero. A gaming enthusiast is transported to a world that's a near-exact replica of his favourite game. The series just has that 'Stuff' that makes it a good read, don't ask me to articulate what exactly that 'stuff' is because i don't have the words. I really liked this second book and found it just as much fun as book one.
Great storytelling, it just draws you back every chance you get, can't wait for the next one to download.....seriously, give it a try, you won't regret it!

You can get frustrated at times because you I read to be entertained and not usually to be enlightened and this series is a perfect example of this. This is my first LitRPG book and first time I have heard this term (Unless Ready Player One counts).
They don't really spoil the flow but at times, when the story is racing along, it just jars one out of the fantasy world of the book.

There's a Land Forum with a ton of users as well, on litrpg.com :) Thoroughly recommended for fantasy and RPG fans! Having said that I feel I enjoy LitRPG titles because they remind me of good times plus work those corners of my mind that keep tallies on scores, attributes, races, etc.First I must mention, that I use to play a lot of D&D and this is almost as fun.
