8 of 14 people found this review helpful. A true achievement. Don't make a sequel to a famously bad movie decades later. As for the movie itself, it felt very slow. Those who say it was boring are missing the charm as well as forgetting the original.

The filmmakers have love for the material but can't bring it to life in more than a perfunctory way.
<3A well-made film that builds upon the mythology of the original. You can still see all customer reviews for the product. Therefore you do run into some of the same aesthetics as a micro budget film. There are a lot of bad movies out there, but when you get to sequels, things get a little more sticky.

If you have seen the original, you know Torgo is one of the more memorable characters. and I personally had a blast revisiting these characters. It's like a first draft! Along with the stiff acting it really kills the fun. Cuz that's exactly what it feels like .

In April of 1966 a film called "Manos: The Hands of Fate" was completed. It was a bad movie because Nguyen had no clue what he was doing, yet when the movie blew up, mostly because Rifftrax made fun of it, he made a sequel.
Now that wouldn’t be a bad setup, I guess, if it wasn’t so blatantly obvious that everyone was acting poorly because they were trying to.
This is one of my favorite episodes of "MST3K," and I was happy to see that some of the original people were involved in this sequel. It’s just… there.

The problem with the sequel is that he wasn’t just being incompetent, he was purposely putting in all of the things in his first movie so people could laugh at it. Couldn't find anyone that could try to do the Torgo voice?Unlike the original Manos which was bad because of incompetence, this sequel is bad because of snark and intent.
