Works will be taking place to resurface the road along the A57 Manchester Road at its junction with the M6 Junction 21.These works will start from Monday 20 July 2020, and will take up to 10 weeks to complete.The Principal Contractor for this scheme is Tarmac Trading Ltd.Due to the difficult nature of the works, it will be necessary to close the road, and its side roads, for the resurfacing works, with the roads being closed, in phases as shown on the information plan, between 10:00pm and 5:00am, except Phase 5 which will be 7:00pm and 1:00am.All roads will be reopened to traffic outside these times.Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times and vehicular access will be under the control of the Principal Contractor.There will be signed diversion routes for each Phase of the worksInformation on changes to bus services and any diversions will be posted at stops prior to the start of the works.For example the northwest corner of the roundabout including its east bound approach from Warrington, will be closed for the works every Monday night for 5 weeks, during that phase the exit onto Woolston Grange Avenue will be closed but all other approaches and exits from the roundabout will be open.
