The location is perfect right in Rittenhouse so I don't have to venture out to Chinatown for dim sum. I'd still go to Chinatown for a more authentic dim sum experience. Love it here!Great, fun restaurant with awesome food! I have been a couple times and prefer take-out.

Jane G's rebranded to Dim Sum House and reopened on Valentine's Day, 2020. Was relatively busy. Please if you’re in the city stop by here you would be missing out if you didn’t and one suggestion try the Dan Dan noodles ! Meanwhile we walked through a pretty, light and airy dining room with tables empty. The staff is always very helpful to make recommendations.

my boyfriend and i couldn't agree between dim sum and sichuan and then realized this is the only place in the city that has decent dim sum and decent sichuan food. While it's difficult to compete with the cheap and delicious Chinese restaurants just a couple streets down in Chinatown, Jane G's is a classy Chinese establishment in Philadelphia and offers an average dining experience at a moderate price. As expected on an opening night, the service was a bit disjointed and slow, but not in an annoying way. The soup dumplings are AMAZING and so are the dan dan noodles. 100% recommend to go.
