If you liked him in "Who's The Boss", get ready to completely hate the role he plays. Tom Acton, a devoted family man, has worked tirelessly in order to achieve success, and he finally turns a local auto salvage yard into something that makes his family proud. So, I've recently been on this 80's and 90's "TV Movie of the Week"/Lifetime movie kick and this was one of the films on my watch list.... it seems there are a great number of reviews complaining of Tony Danza's accent (which is pretty bad, but I was able to look pass that) but PLEASE don't let that prevent you from watching this film! 4 out of 8 found this helpful. I saw Reese Witherspoon in a movie when she was younger that was based in the South, and her accent was perfect. Tony Danza needs to stick to driving a taxi in New York. Pamela Reed is the mother trying to protect her children, and loses her oldest daughter to an abductor. 1 out of 1 found this helpful. Every time I watch a movie like this, it trips me out how fake these accents are. The Pic was a treat and Pamela Reed had lot to do with it. But the accents were AWFUL. Tony Danza looked younger to her as her husband but there was some brilliant moments in his role. If this is ever on Lifetime or something, take my advice.

It is based on Ted Schwarz’s book by the same name, which describes the murder of Kathy Bonney, although the plot is fictional. When Kathy Acton is found dead, her parents, Tom and Carol, swear they will find her assailant. And it was a bit odd that for some reason, the oldest daughter's accent wasn't so thick you could cut it with a knife, but the rest of the family's was. There are street scenes from right around here and the house and lot set the mood for the story really well. Wife with young family finds life becoming unbearable with her successful, but violent and abusive, husband. Because she is from Nashville and knows how southerners talk. A 19 year old woman goes missing. The strength of "Deadly Whispers" was in the strong character developments, especially the roles of the mother and father, who desperately try to come to terms with their missing teenage daughter. Carol is torn between the love for her husband and the story the police tells. Or is he? 3 out of 3 found this helpful. The story (a true one, from what I understand) behind this movie is actually pretty good. The ending psychotic sequence is worth the price of a blank tape.
