Es war absehbar, dass ein Film dieses Genres einen vorhersehbaren Verlauf und ein ebensolches Ende nimmt und dass viele Klischees eingebaut werden, doch während einige Filme damit durchaus Erfolg haben, funktionierte "You Stupid Man" vorne und hinten nicht.
